ABOUT
Olivia is a transdisciplinary practitioner-researcher who primarily uses movement, voice, and language in her work.
Olivia studied theatre (BA) at South Dakota State University (Brookings, SD, United States), with an emphasis on dance and performing arts administration. During this time, she performed in State University Theatre & Dance and Prairie Repertory Theatre productions and worked as the department’s box office manager and publicity head; she was also a member of Alpha Psi Omega Honors Theatre Fraternity and National Honor Society for Dance Arts.

After finishing her undergraduate, Olivia moved to London to further her studies. She studied at Trinity Laban (London, United Kingdom) and earned her MFA in creative practices: transdisciplinary. Her time in London allowed her to focus on interplay of research and practice and refine the scope of her creative practice.
a transdisciplinary creative practice

Olivia has established her creative practice between disciplines, a position with affordance to implement methodologies of either. In the practical application, doing, experiencing, thinking, and reflecting are empasised, functions which are integral to experiential learning. Focusing on the execution of these functions allows the freedom to use methods from practical disciplines based on observations made in the creative context.
